A Cooperative Program of the Residents of Our Community, the
Farmingdale Board of Education and the Farmingdale Village

To The Children and Parents of Farmingdale:

Children are our most precious commodity. It is through their youth, happiness, well being and fulfilled dreams the future for all benefits.

Our Community supports its children through supervised activities and recreation closely monitored by the Farmingdale Youth Council, a non-profit taxpayer funded organization. Our highly qualified personnel conduct uniquely balanced Summer and Winter Programs, so children from Pre-K through their senior year in High School have a healthy and safe environment outside the regular school classroom and curriculum to share with their peers in many facets of growth.

Unlike many villages and towns in Long Island, the Farmingdale Youth Council is fortunate to provide this invaluable outlet throughout all the seasons of the year for our children to learn, experience and enjoy activities as equally important to learning as a good education.

Our Member Organizations strengthen this foundation of support and trust. Please take a moment to visit their websites as well, posted on this page. Their activities include Baseball, Football, Basketball, Lacrosse, and much more.

Farmingdale Youth Council welcomes all residents and parents to attend our meetings that are held every third Tuesday in the library at the Howitt Middle School during the months of September through June. Our door is always open to you and yours, and we welcome ideas that will help improve as well as expand current and future FYC programs.

Warmest personal regards,
Joann Vazquez, President
